This recent sculpt is titled "Generations".

cast resin, hand sculpted, mixed media and acrylic, marble and granite mount. (obscenely heavy).

It seems understandable that this current piece smacks certain overtones of trendy "zombie fandom" - but in actuality, (like many of my works), it was inspired by music. In this instance; I give a nod to Inspiral Carpets' (1992) song "Generations" from the album (by the same title as this post) which adorns the awesome photographic art of Sandy Skoglund. While the song, was motivating enough - the sculpt has nothing to do with the lyrics. In this context, "Generations", I attempt to parody "capricious evolution".... Although, I have to admit - their music video, was as equally "inspiraling"!

For those of you who have followed my modest little corner of the net, may have seen this entry originally posted on March 8th. The preceding post was intended to launch the release of the new Clash figures but was subsequently retracted due to some unforeseen (printing) problems which delayed the release......and then this occurred...

As we all know - on March 11th, disaster struck our neighboring friends in Japan. In light of the terrible events of the quake and tsunami which devastated the North East region of the island and it's rippling consequences that have changed the lives of those of the entire country - I will be donating a portion(25%)of the proceeds made from the "Candy cKaiju"sales, to help those affected by the disaster in Japan. I am often flattered by the tremendous support the Japanese collectors have displayed in appreciation of my works...I hope to in-turn show the same gratitude by the simple means of this heartfelt gesture in an effort to contribute what I can to help those in their time of need. Japan faces a long struggle ahead as they begin to morn, regain their strength and prepare to rebuild. Please join us in doing what ever you can do to help....You can check out the one-of-a-kind limited editions here...
